July 13 - 14: Water Workshop

The GPWDC invites you to a water training workshop on July 13 - 14, 2019 with Lorraine Wilson instructing!

Lorraine has earned the PWDCA water work versatility award, Courier Water Dog Excellent title, 9 Courier Water Dog titles, 2 Working Water Dog Excellent certificates, 12 Working Water Dog titles and Apprentice and Junior titles/certificates.  Lorraine was originally mentored by Cathy Gadd and now is the lead trainer and program designer for annual PWDCC Ontario Branch land and in-water camps for the past 10 years.

Training Approach:  

 

  • Uses a shaping method for the majority of training, using play, praise and food rewards.

​​

  • Training includes an obedience foundation.

​​

  • Training is adjusted to each dog and the needs and learning style of each student.  ​​
